Singer, composer and song writer.

Ali Omari was born on 05th November in Ghazni Afghanistan. First at the age of 7 he started to learn tabla from his brother Masood Omari (a well known proffessional artist & tabla player). 

Then he was inspired by the rich Classical & Ghazal music after listening & started singing ghazals of Legends: Ustad Sarahang saheb, Ustad Fateh Ali khan sahb, Mehdi Hassan sahb, Ahmad Zahir, Mohammad Rafi, Kishore, Ustad Amanat Ali khan. Luckily he got the previllage to meet the living Legend Ustad Fateh Ali Khan sahb of Patiala Gharana. With his excellency Ustad Fateh Ali khan sahb accepted him as one of his finest and brilliant students and taught him Classical Music for seven years.

As a disciple of Ustad Fateh Ali Khan saheb, Ali draws his musical lineage from the very well known Patiala Gharana.

Ali Omari is always thankful and grateful to his father Mohammad Ghaus Omari who is a well known for his gentle character, kindness, his books, he served his 30 years  teaching in different Universities (headmaster in Syed jammaludin afghan University & also in Lesai Sanayi Ghazni) & his teachings of peace & Love to different communities.

His excellency M.Ghaus Omari has teached him afghan literature, his intense interest caused him to teach his family literature & poetry of many Legends/very well know poets such as Hakim Sanayi Ghaznavi, Abul Mahanee Bedel, Maulana Jalaluddin Balkhi, Hafez Sherazi, Allama Iqbal, Saadi saheb and Sufi Ashqari.

 

Over the years Ali Omari sings reclusive, ambient and richly Sufi themed Ghazals & classical Raags.

He has composed many ghazals & also his brother Ahmad Bellal Omari has composed many ghazals for him.

Despite his work in fashion field in many european countries, he has still managed to focus on practicing  his music & performances in special events places and occasions . He has performed in many countries including : Germany , Netherland , Belgium , France , Spain , Afghanistan & Pakistan.

With the permission of his Excellency Ustad Fateh Ali khan and his son Sultan Fateh Ali Khan & due to interest of his many students, he is a music teacher.
